Alpine Introduction

The Alps are by far Europes finest and most rewarding chain of mountains. The stunning scenery, the dawn sunrise, the wealth of nature and the sense of achievement at reaching your chosen summit leave you with long lasting memories.

My Alpine Introduction course covers all essential safe alpine travel techniques that will allow you to ascend suitable peaks as the week develops. Snow, ice and rock are all enjoyed. This course is run over 6 days and is based in Switzerland.

This course is tailor made to suit your requirements, allowing us to do as much alpine climbing as possible. The first day will involve skills training on a local glacier. Two separate hut trips will follow, climbing some classic Valais peaks and hopefully reaching a 4000 metre summit.

You will require a reasonable level of hill walking fitness for this week. Early alpine starts can be challenging enough, but altitude can be harder. As a rough guide, you should feel comfortable walking around the British hills for 8 hours.

Alpine Introduction 6 days £700 per person. Price covers guides fee and hut costs.

Minimum of 3 people required.
